SONOKINETIC SLEIGH BELLS IOS
Sonokinetic brings you this jolly app, with HQ recorded sleighbells, and the most intuitive and beautiful User Interface in the App Store for this kind of app. This is a universal app, that looks as good on the ipad as it does on the iphone, with full retina graphics all around if your device supports it.
Need Sleighbells to set the mood, shake away your woes or to accompany your caroling? You can't do any better than these. Recorded and produced by the Sonokinetic team responsible for high end audio productions like 'Minimal' and 'Toll', to name a few, this app is no toy. The sounds are the same that are used in the Kontakt virtual Instrument that is produced for use by professional media composers.
Included in the app are 6 different sleighbells, all with enough different samples to avoid obvious repetition (19 different hits per bell). The instruments used are sorted by number of bells attached.
They are:
- 25 bells
- 21 bells
- 17 bells
- 13 bells
- 6 bells
- 1 bell
you can play them separate or all together, there are two ways of playing the instrument; shake or tap, switchable with the little switch in the right hand bottom corner
In Tap mode, the pads operate as touch drumpads, just tap any of the six pads to hear it’s bells ring. Tap mode would be advisable for precision playing, and for keeping your device in one piece. You can vary the velocity of the sample playback by tapping either lower or higher on the button, the low end of the button is the loudest, the higher up the softer it will sound.
In shake mode, you can turn on the bells you want to play with the 6 big buttons on the main screen, and when you gently shake your device, you will be able to get a jiggly rhythm going. (you can use two devices for cool polyrhythms too of course, if you have them available) Note that very subtle playing is not possible in the shake mode, due to limitations inherent to the way accelerometers work. Shaking on the beat to complement your caroling will be perfectly possible though.
Make sure you start in tune with your caroling by using the pitch pad. The pitch pad is accessed with a swipe from the left edge to right or right edge to left. Play the pitch corresponding to the key you are in, swipe again, and start playing your sleigh bells.
We feel that we've produced the ultimate caroling companion with this app and we hope it will bring you happiness and joy!
What's New
Since Christmas is a time for people to come together, we have added a new screen with a pitch pad to give you and your choir of happy carolers a common note to start on, or some more notes to bring harmony and even more joy.
